Throughout history, the port of Cartagena has been the starting point of innumerable adventures and exploits. Go to sea on our Tourist Boat and discover a different view of the city sailing at 2.5 knots by the in the dock sheltered from its maritime accidents. Castles, coastal batteries, lighthouses and docks open your eyes as witnesses of the military, strategic and commercial importance of the bay.

A voiceover in several languages will help you to know the evolution of the port from the old defences to the construction of the eighteenth century arsenal, the Christmas Docks, San Pedro and Alfonso XII, in the nineteenth century, or the recent construction of the cruise terminal. You will disconnect for a while from the hustle and bustle of the city and you can complete your sightseeing by disembarking at the Christmas Fort to learn firsthand about the military life in Cartagena's fortresses during past centuries. The imposing view of the sea front will accompany you on the way back and will remain in your eyes mind after putting your feet on the ground.

Descubre las operaciones ocultas en las que participaron soviéticos y nazis en el conflicto bélico de la Guerra Civil Española de 1936. Se visitará la exposición “Misiones Secretas” en el Museo Refugio y continuará el recorrido en el Museo Histórico Militar, base de operaciones del espionaje en la ciudad, como la Quinta Columna. La ruta finaliza con un paseo en Barco Turístico, donde se contempla el puerto, protagonista de historia bélica mundial.

'PRINCESAS Y PIRATAS EN EL FUERTE DE NAVIDAD'. Musical infantil

A musical for the whole family that, among pirates, princesses and sea gods, will take us on a maritime adventure. Following the treasure map, the little ones will have to rescue the captive princess from the Christmas Tower. The experience ends with a boat tour of Cartagena Bay.

Attack on Christmas Fort

We'll take the children around the bay of Cartagena in our tour boat to access the Christmas Fort. Here, by completing various tests, they'll learn the strategic and military importance of Cartagena. In collaboration with the CPR of Cartagena.

Accessibility

Tourism for all is one of the primary objectives of the Cartagena Port of Cultures. We are working to ensure access to the largest number of visitors. At present, the Tourist Boat offers to its visitors with special needs the following facilities:

  • Capacity: 85 seats. 5 wheelchairs.
  • All the architectural barriers have been removed using ramps.
  • Reduced rate to those with disabilities, presenting official proof at the box office.
  • Guide dog access allowed with the corresponding accreditation.

Vending machines

In the Tourist Boat there are machines where you can buy fresh drinks and snacks.
