The Cartagena City Council has committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Royal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of the public sector

This accessibility statement applies to the Cartagena Puerto de Culturas website.

This website is  partially compliant  with RD 1112/2018 due to the exceptions and non-compliance of the aspects indicated below.

CONTENT NOT ACCESSIBLE

The content below is not accessible for the following reason:

  1. Non-compliance with Royal Decree 1112/2018
  • There are adjacent links that point to the same destination.
  • There are links whose text is too long and, therefore, not very meaningful.
  • There are DIV elements that contain texts longer than 150 characters without using any tags
  • text marking (P, Q, BLOCKQUOTE, etc.).
  • There are P elements with more than 150 characters and 2 or more BR elements used to simulate
  • paragraphs in incorrect form.
  • There is an overuse of BR line breaks instead of employing more appropriate structural elements.

The complaint procedure set out in article 13 of Royal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, will come into force on September 20, 2020.

Periodic partial reviews of new or modified web content, including templates, pages, and final published documents, are carried out to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements, currently levels  A and AA of the WCAG 2.0 standard, taking into account the exceptions of  Royal Decree 1112/2018 of September 7. 

Additionally, this website is reviewed by the Observatory of Electronic Administration (OBSAE).

Among other measures, the following are adopted to facilitate accessibility:

  • Using CSS 3.0 for information presentation (cascading style sheets)
  • Use of alternative text in images
  • The links provide details about the function or destination of the hyperlink.
  • Use of W3C standards: XHTML 1.0, CSS 3.0, WAI AA.
  • Minimum recommended web resolution of 1280x1024
